| Does anyone know what the purpose of the parking permit was meant to be? was it to ensure that everyone could park outside their homes? or was it another way of squeezing cash and fines out of people to pay for something (and if so what was it?). I always thought that our road taxes paid for upkeep of the roads and also having road tax meant your car was legaly able to be on the road whether parked or not.... Parking permits serve no purpose, in my opinion, other than being a cash cow for the local authorities. Am i talking out of my wotsit?? |
