| Brentford and Isleworth Constituency Labour Party is amongst 14 nationwide which has been placed in Special Measures by Labour Party Head Office along with neighbouring Ealing and Southall Constuency Labour Party. This means that Labour Party Head Office no longer trusts the local Labour Party to run its own affairs. It means that Labour Party Head Office now controls the admission of new members and the selection of candidates. This is profoundly undemocratic. A number of Labour councillors have been deselected and will not be allowed to stand as Labour candidates in the next Borough elections. Several Labour councillors have been accused of serious planning offences. The Labour Party is so deeply divided and so preoccupied by its internal struggles and rivalries that it can no longer administer the borough properly. More Labour scandals,purges and resignations will follow. Hounslow is a rotten borough so long as Labour remains in control. |
