Hounslow already has a huge waiting list, their first priority should be to house those who already live in the borough, not people who have had to leave other boroughs, however unfortunate that may be.They are also offerimg landlords a 1000 pounds incentive to rent their properties to the council. With the guaranteed rental income that should be more than enough.Any other expenditure should be down to the landlord, most of whom can well afford to bring their properties up to the required standard. And why would the council want to do business with landlords who had previously not met these standards. The council have not said that this money will come from central government. Its still our money, either way! |
