From what I can see if an employer pays for your uniform then you have to return it if you leave their employment, but if you are expected to pay for it yourself it is O.K. to claim it against your tax allowance. I would think you could include any cleaning or laundering costs for that as well. Keith I really don't think there is a realistic link between the sale of council housing and the TUs. The fact is they - to a great extent - played into that old cow's hands - they needed to modernise and play a far cuter game and they didn't. My personal view is that all working people should belong to a TU - something that is likely to be even more important if son of Thatcher and his chums have their way over Employment Tribunals and withdrawal of legal aid. |
