All quite negative about the development (apart from Jim and myself) Ballymore have invested a lot over the years and will want to get their return. By applying for planning for Phase 1 and Outline planning for the whole caboodle they demonstrate confidence that at least Phase 1 will happen within the next couple of years. The council and local community/business groups also want the area redeveloped. The question is how??? You can still influence what is built by contributing to local consultation, like the exhibition/meeting on the 21st November, 6pm at St Pauls Church. Satvir, no-one contemplating purchase of a commercial or residential lease in a new build, especially a large new build like Ferry Quays should believe the developers service charge estimates. They are kept artificially low to help sales. Managing, servicing and maintaining large spaces is expensive esp when concierges and gyms are present. I imagine they set up the seperate mgt companies to help define block responsibilities.... but there are dodgy mgt companies out there |
