| It sounds all good in design and even building,such as Ferry Quays but happens when people start to live in them. They don't want the nosie from the commercial units underneath and they start protesting as well as bring the business to the ground with complaints and extremely high service charges etc etc. How many problems are in Ferry Quays development? Empty commerical units are in all mixed developments. Even look at the Brentford Lock development has not successfully sold all units. How many are struggling to make ends meet and scared to loose their life time's earnings!! what is Brentford going to do with more mixed developments, when the previous ones are losing businesses due to high service charges and moreover locals do not even use them. Because they hate them for being there. People buy flats knowing they are buying in mixed or abve restaurants / shop but once they are in, they ensure that the business should not be there because now they live there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why planners want this type of developments that people hate? |
