| It’s expensive to build a theatre and cinema complex and keeping it on the river would reduce the amount of prime land available for the swanky apartment blocks marketed overseas. Profit is the overriding factor here. I’d be surprised if it is any bigger or better than the existing site. The proposed new venue is effectively a tower block of flats with an arts centre attached. And as usual it’s not going to have any car parking provision, with a pretty inadequate ‘two disabled parking bays’ outside. Not exactly encouraging the less able patrons in. |
