| Before I used my car all the time I was a significant source of congestion for 25 years when I lived in Chiswick and the first few years after I moved to Brilliant. Currently my visits to Chiswick are by foot or bus (which make no congestion) and hopefully very soon will again be by bike as my body recovers. This will also create zero congestion (and zero climate damage, other than what comes from my armpits). Having waited for a bus (on the perfectly decent island - albeit needs the shelter moving, which I think will happen soon) I observe the overwhelming congestion on CHR is caused by middle aged people driving cars on their own - as so often I used to be until recently. Thank for the kind thoughts - I'm getting there and am gradually starting to work as a councillor again. |
