As I understand it the problem is really the availability of police given the tightened security around central London over the coming days. That might be more relevant to football matches rather than library users but one never knows. The Gunnersbury Park event will finish late so one hopes there won’t be any antisocial behaviour afterwards, although the police are often slow to react to calls anyway. I suspect a lot of the cancellations are a convenient excuse for some rather than any genuine mourning. |
