Seems a Perfectly good question.

Not for the first time, the key high street stops have been removed or suspended without any form of notice or explanation and with no temporary stop put in place. Nearest ones are too far and without interchange.

TfL have failed to put temporary stops in place on several occasions locally over the last few years causing many who cannot walk very far great problems.

Complaints with "Customers are encouraged to Walk or Cycle" is not acceptable for a Public Transport Overseer to be issuing as justification for not bothering to do something that LT Buses have always done diligently for generations.

What about those who cannot walk far or cycle?  It could be any of us for any reason.   £millions spent on making Buses in particular, fully accessible and then to suit a policy whim suddenly its a bad idea to make a bus accessible to anyone.

They don't do this in every borough but Hounslow seem rather soft or slack with TfL and the Mayor of London's meddling.

Cllr Lambert at least has checked it out but really he should not have to.

But he at least gets an answer, for ordinary mortals it's 15 working days- if your lucky or persistent.

That's a long time to wait at a bus stop - even for an E8.

Information and a reason is not forthcoming. A lecture on why you should walk is far more likely.

Putting in a Temp stop takes 5 mins and always has. Bus Garages support usually do it.
No traffic orders or anything required unless its for a long period or requires an element of works.

They have still not returned a stop in Ealing Road removed for construction works almost 15 years ago. Now dozens of visitors and residents have to cross the A4. Last excuse I heard was it was a tree. ( which was there before and can be pruned)

As for the High street is it damaged enough already.
Is that not sorrowful enough?
