I'm sure that you have the sympathies of many a reader here, including mine. Much as I love technology and doing things online rather than on paper, one of the very worst sites I've ever encountered is the (outsourced) London Borough of Hounslow Council Tax site.
This is an external site that's been outsourced to Northgate-nes.co.uk. Wiltshire Council also use the Northgate facility for its Council Tax. It's dreadful: completely non-intuitive, old-fashioned looking and difficult to navigate.
Councils up and down the country have opted for this execrable system. It's really disgraceful that Council Tax-payers are funding it. Gin and tonics are certainly the order of the day when contemplating using the Northgate system. |
