"they said, was that the cardboard recycling lorry was full. Makes you wonder whether to bother!" To be fair it isn't an exact science as to how much cardboard / paper will be out in a given week. Except perhaps over Xmas when you can expect a lot more. So it would make economical sense to put any overfow into the general waste on occasions. I still think that we should do our duty though and try to recycle as much as possible even if there are sometimes 'blips' in the system. I suspect that with so many people working from home or on furlough leave, the packaged deliveries from Amazon et el are a lot higher than pre Covid. |
