Guy, if separation of paper and cardboard is important, why do the operators throw both into the same opening in their lorry?  No point having separate 'paper' and 'cardboard' sections if it all goes into one. Or is this to save time and is it someone else's job to separate it all when they reach their destination? Any idea why this week the blue boxes were collected by a green waste lorry - I imagine contamination would have incurred from whatever dregs of garden waste were in the lorry.
