I too saw the little love heart signs on the trees, and it made me aware that discussions should be had about these trees, rather than just let the Council steam roller a decision about removal thru.  These trees are very close to the elevated section of the M4 and cope with a huge amount of pollution thrown out by the cars.  I live fairly close by and am aware of what a polluted area we live in.  A few little newbie saplings will take around thirty years to grow into good sized mature trees dealing with day to day pollution.
