I have no idea why these polluting vehicles don't fail their annual MOT, but the evidence is very clear that large numbers of them are on the road. Smokey exhausts and cars, vans and taxi's pumping out truly horrendous clouds of black soot are all around us on a continuous basis. And of course, we're breathing in those illegal levels of soot, particulates and toxic emissions also on an almost continuous basis. As you can see from the reference in my original post, it's a problem in many cities around the world, and now that there's a relatively simple and fuss-free way of stopping it I'd urge LBH to do something. Does a proper environmental department at LBH exist yet? It used to be a tack-on to the 'Regeneration' department. |
