It’s a real issue isn’t it? The problem is that people not caring spreads. The recycling ends up on the floor, so others feel like dropping a bit of litter doesn’t matter. People fly tip, so others think I may as well as too. Things that are dropped aren’t cleaned up and it makes the whole place look horrible. When that happens people just can’t be bothered.

It really doesn’t help that bind aren’t emptied nearly often enough either. I walked from Brentford McDonalds up to South Ealing tube station today, and every single bin on the Texaco (Esso) side of the A4 within Hounslow Borough was over flowing. The same cannot be said for those bins on the Ealing side. So we must ask ourselves why does the problem not extend there?

The same issue is going on by the shops at the Brentford towers. Three bins always over flowing and yet today one of those bins has been taken too. Never mind that there are piles of rubbish on the floor there. I saw council workers twice yesterday sweeping up in that area and still the rubbish remains.

The bin that I mentioned at the very beginning, where dog bins are now being used as litter bins are still overflowing. Not once have they been touched. They have dog bags hanging off them as well as domestic waste. Rubbish all around them. Broken glass on the grass. It’s jist horrible.

Before anyone says it, I know that Hounslow don’t make the rubbish nor dump it. I know that none of it is excusable. But whilst nothing is done to stop the dumping and nothing is done to empty bins more regularly so lazy people don’t just dump it on top. Then the issue will only get worse.
