| Well said. I have voted No in each of the three CPZ surveys over the years but would be 'happy' enough to go with an hour or two a day. I don't recognise what some people are saying about the parking situation, particularly overnight. I went to Morrison's this evening and drove back via Lateward Road and could have parked my car (without exaggeration) ten to twelve times over in the spaces available. In my own road, Braemar, I found a place to park with no problem. Granted that some days are difficult, particularly match days and evenings and that things have got more difficult over the years but the Council proposal of all day six days a week strikes me as unnecessary to say the least. What does get me - and I have written about this in the past - are those few selfish people who put cones and other detritus in the road to bag 'their' place. Somebody in Albany Road does it all the time. |
