If you phone the Council, you are faced with endless options - the only parking options are to do with protesting against a parking fine and disabled parking. I finally got the number you need folks: 020 8583 5555, then when you are given a no. of options press 5. You will then be given another no. of options - choose 5 again. I have just done this and am not exaggerating when I say that I hung on for over 20 minutes for it to go down from being 8th in the queue to beginning 1st in the queue when it suddenly changed to me being back to 2 in the queue. Don't ask me how this can happen but I can assure you it did. I hung on for another few minutes, being told every however many seconds that I was second in the queue (again) and then gave up. The length of time you have to wait may well depend on the time of day but how you go from 8 to 1 and then back to 2 I don't know and 20 plus minutes is long enough to wait plus my other efforts. Has anybody ever reported somebody to the Council for blocking parts of the road and, if so, did you get a 'result'? I feel rather annoyed all round and it is now nearly 4.30p.m. and that space is still 'bagged'. No wonder people fall out with their so-called neighbours. |
