Unfortunately a 3 hour journey home meant I missed the meeting. What baffles me is that Thames water and the Metropolitan water board have dug up the mains in Brentford some 9 times since 1975. 5 of which have been in the same location. In the last few years, all the streets have been dug up and pipes replaced. The then letter said it would be around 3 years and that would be it. But it is not 'it' Now it is even more. The delays and disruptions to Bus services and local transport will be severe and this will bring the number of years of delays in the district incurred by road works to 8 out of 10. That costs all of us in time and for some of us constant loss of business and earning time. During this period there has been no rate reduction of compensation for the damage, dirt, delays or losses. And that's without the calamities that have befallen some residents where pipes burst. I wanted to produce all this at the meting and get a few unanswered questions answered. Anyone else get there and find out anything? |
