| Yes, I got the letter. I'm still puzzled as to why, as there are apparently four big water mains under the road, all the problems have occurred with one of them. The Thames Water presentation at http://democraticservices.hounslow.gov.uk/mgConvert2PDF.aspx?ID=53757 shows maps of the route. Do the blue figures of CI 1840 indicate that it was cast iron installed in 1840 ? I'm not sure if it is a good thing that the job isn't going to be rushed to finish by April (as Ruth Cadbury's previous message indicated) or a bad thing that it is now going to go on for six months ! |
