| Well, the Magpie is still open. There's been a few changes - the beer's gone up a bit, for a start! Twickenham Grandstand, which was £2.80 a pint a week ago, is now £3 a pint. On the plus side it's in good condition, and £3.10 is not too bad a price for Young's Winter Warmer, which is also on. All the foreign beer taps are still there, but not the real cider or perry. Apart from most of the pictures going and a bit of tidying up, the other main change is that the bar billiards table has gone, to be replaced by yet another pool table. The bar billiards rules are still tacked to the wall, however! The new landlord is friendly and likes dogs, which is just as well. Oh, and the WiFi is still (mostly) working. |
