| It could go to running a Direct Response Transport Service (as a I mistakenly posted on the thread about Parking Permits the other day). Demand Responsive Transport which was being trialled just before the pandemic and which is very successful in other countries and which because of the pandemic was curtailed would probably suit a lot of people. There are different types. They wouldn't all be good for strictly timed appointments which is something many people need transport for when they no longer drive and are less mobile. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/demand-responsive-transport/demand-responsive-transport I think Hounslow and Ealing were trialling this together before the pandemic but the pandemic would have put a stop to it. It can help to find out where people want to travel to and can also lead to new bus routes being considered. |
