The original approved plans that lapsed were for houses only which would have been wonderful. As a direct neighbour of Griffin Park, I am very much against more flats in Brentford, particularly in an area where we have houses surrounding the land, except for the development on Brook Road South which EcoWorld are taking a lead from (and the small block on Ealing Road which is set well away from the boundary). And yes, they keep saying at all the meetings we've had how you won't be able to see the 6-storey buildings from the roads. That's not quite the point. People want homes with gardens and - importantly - that aren't leasehold properties as the flats will be. In other words, houses. |
