| Quite true but it is purely geo-political for administrative purposes. Another shining example is often on the Train describers on SWT lines Ashford ( Surrey) - always indicated as such so as not to confuse it with Ashford, Kent However, Ashford is in Middlesex and on the Middlesex side of the Thames. But it's administered by Surrey . Kew is Surrey, Brentford is Middlesex but they both carry a TW- Twickenham Postcode |
