| That's very interesting Raymond. It's a pity that the rules that worked so well in East London weren't encouraged in our area. Although I will say that occasionally a cyclist approaching from behind does give the 'two tings' alert, but so many do not have bells and don't seem inclined to use their voice to warn of their approach. If the cyclist is coming towards me I do stop to let them pass and generally receive a thank you. I am not at all anti-cyclist, just wish that the minority concerned could be more thoughtful towards fellow towpath users. |
