I assume all these vaccination centres are under great pressure to get as many people through as possible to help boost Johnson's daily numbers, and even to save lives. My wife and I had worked out that our turn would come at about the end of January/early February, so a call out of the blue on Thursday morning to come in for a jab later that afternoon was a major surprise. OK, we had to shuffle forward in a cold queue for a while, without the free mulled wine we got queuing for our Xmas turkey for twice as long outside Mackens. But now we're 'done', or at least part done, so we can relax a bit and hope to see and end to this crisis. |
