| I acted as a polling agent which meant going around five polling stations in Brentford four times - at 12.00, 3.00, 6.00 and 8.00p.m. The purpose was to collect at each the number of votes cast and the percentage of the local electorate which the numbers represented then reporting back to the 'office'. In all of my travels I didn't come across one teller although the people on the desk at St Faith's told me there was a Conservative outside for a few hours in the morning. |
