What a weird election. Voted at 6pm and when I got home three Labour guys were at my front door reminding me to go vote. Then at 7.30pm two Conservative guys knocked on the door and reminded me to go vote. And now at just after 8.30 two different Labour guys came to remind me to vote. All very pleasant people but they are out in full force. When the last lot came I was on the phone to a friend in USA and when I mentioned the reason for disruption to our chat she was astounded that in the UK we get 'reminded' to vote. I explained that it wasn't the norm. Also my wife was intrigued that all of these people only asked if I had voted,none of them asked if she had voted! |
