| Guy does a valuable job in posting on TW8. His colleagues. Communicate via the continuous press releases via LBH Comms office. The GLA mayor visited the new recycling depot we're told the other day yet it's still being built. Initial cost £9m now £20 m plus and uncapped. Related loans incur £2.5 m plus interest repayment per year. Our previous contractor provided their depot for free! No procurement comparison took place either. I've mentioned this one item to highlight obscene over spending and apparent reckless project management by this labour administration With one of the highest fly tipping rate in London they are now to reduce waste collection to fortnightly and spend £690k on providing two more plastic boxes for paper and plastic with a hair net to cover the plastic box. Many including me don't want these additional boxes preferring the current bags. I've asked to retain them as have others but without success. |
