| Then there was the fiasco of Gurnell Pool in Ealing with it's 'Olympic sized pool with a raising divider. Then after a fortune being spent to replace older pools they found the Olympic pool was a few inches short of the regulations for competitions . So it was invalid for county and national competitions and bang went the planned income. It's still a good pool but with poor parking and access but is also facing redevelopment some 60 years early. |
