| Residents who start Community Groups or Friends Groups are view with suspicion from the executive down. The residents who join groups like this must have ulterior motives as they continuously work for nothing in upgrading the area they live in. Some established groups who have been running for 15 / 16 years are still viewed as the enemy by Council offices, whether its because CC and FG have managed to achieve more than they could because the funding wasn't open to them, only community groups. Maybe the offices see there jobs are not safe as someone who works for nothing is achieving more than them, so obstacles are put in the way, or the wall you have to climb gets higher the more you achieve. |
