It was a shame to see the stock in the skip, but I don't believe for a second they would destroy stock that was in good condition? I daresay charity shops get left with some vile pieces to deal with. There are places that buy rags by weight so maybe that's what happened?? ANYWAY...My family cleared 2 houses when our Grandparents died and we did not hesitate to send the contents to various charity shops- Age Uk in Brentford included. And we will continue to support this shop, and I hope others will too. Its such a worthwhile cause and who knows, if we are fortunate to reach an old age, we might need some help as well? The new shop in Brentford is ideally placed and staffed by some very friendly people. It will be a success if we continue to donate good quality, clean stock and remember to pop in and pick up a bargain. I hope the person 'who finds it difficult to support' has a change of heart and doesn't discourage others.... |
