Yes – quite interesting. Mr Aylard had quite a grilling but it was strange to see the Consumer Council for Water snuggling up to Thames and seemingly protecting Thames from some of the more difficult questions (IMHO). Also strange that Thames Water seems proud of the fact that the Chair of The Consumer Council has regular dinners with the Board of Thames. I thought the Consumer Council was there to protect stakeholder interests rather than be too sympathetic /protective of Thames’ shareholder interests. He kept waffling on about a difficult balancing act. I would have thought it would be difficult to take a balanced view when you are regularly being dined by one side!
Fast forward to 1 hour 29 minutes to see Mr Aylard rather squirmish on the Mogden issue as he fumbles and stumbles to answer the Mogden questions and clearly misleads the committee on odour neutrality and wet weather..
