The residents meeting with Thames Water tonight was cancelled at the last moment by Thames Water and the Company has refused to give any reason for the last minute cancellation despite the fact that residents, Councillors and indeed our MP had diarised weeks ago to attend tonights meeting in order to confront the Company on its ongoing failings at Mogden.
I understand though that Richard Aylard, Thames Water’s External Affairs director, who was supposed to chair the meeting, has been on ITV news this evening trying to explain / defend the flooding of the tube tunnels. I did not see the news, I just heard about it from someone who was also going to attend this evening and was quite put out about the last minute cancellation and the arrogance of Thames Water by not offering any explanation.
