As Neil suggested earlier..The Brooke Stream was a signifcant flow of water from the foothills of South Ealing in times gone by..and there's perhaps no doubt that it still flows. Indeed if it comes across an obstacle on it's downward mission it will no doubt seek new routes to get it's way.
Some 10 years ago a thread on this Forum discussed the same stream and there were reports that the flowing Brook could be heard outside some houses in Brooke Road South. Quite recently I saw flooding at the rear of the Alfa Laval building in Brooke Road North and I was told it was the Brooke at play. On another thread Peter MacGovern directed us to an old map ..and here is an extract showing the Brooke at the rear of Enfield Road.
