| Does anybody take responsibility for anything nowadays? Does anyone go the extra mile? Perhaps the contract has changed for the glass? Perhaps? Has the Council absolved itself of all responsibility? Isn't the collection contracted out? It's probably a tail wagging dog contract now where the contractor just does what they want. So what would it take to update the skips after all they still have LBH logo on them? I see from the LBH website that this is what they say happens to the mixed glass from the kerbside collection: " ◾Glass bottles and jars are sent to Viridor Glass in Sheffield. Here it is optically sorted into colour type and then sent to Queens Glass where it is turned back into bottles." How is the glass collected at Space Waye? Here it what it says happens to that: "◾Glass goes to Day Group in Brentford" I couldn't find info for any other sites. |
