| The point is Mick that more people die from alcohol & tobacco related diseases than do from drugs. The current laws do not work, they are a form of prohibition, and that was a disaster. We need someone with the courage to say what many people now think - what we are doing now hasn't worked for years and criminalises a great many people. It is time to seriously consider decriminalisation and regulate the supply. Alan Johnson has wasted a golden opportunity, it's time that politicians gave the electorate credit for some sense. |
