| Far be it from me to dissuade anyone spending their own money to put additional cycle racks in Boston Manor Park (and there is only so much railing around the playground to lock your bike to when visiting the cafe !) BUT I would have thought that TfL funded schemes like http://www.lcc.org.uk/index.asp?Pageid=183 would be worth approaching for cycling activities supported by community groups. After all, now they have stopped buying bendy buses they have to spend the congestion charge money on something ! However, if you buy it yourself it will probably arrive a lot faster than waiting for the next funding round and the form-filling bureaucracy to take place...... |
