I was not being dismissive of one reporters award.

But there's no competition.   One stand alone who does a good job is simply not enough.  Good for his career but not good for local district reporting because he will be off and a big loss.

There were dozens in the district and a mix of young and fresh, solid experience and great wise very experienced. A fantastic learning ground a
but more importantly a great service to democracy and true incisive reporting and quite impartial in comparison to the next levels.
