| Yes all good news. The Market Place in Brentford will be given added value with the arrival of Greggs to partner La Rosetta and The Verdict and others along the way. Good choices! I ventured into the Waterman's Arms in Ferry Lane yesterday early evening. Hadn't been there for years since a Brentford Forum Meet Up organised by the late Gerry Tan (RIP). Those were the days. The 'garden annex' at the Waterman's looked cosy with style and is worth a visit..honest! Further along Ferry Lane.. the Lebanese Restaurant is closed.. the Landlord of the premises having repossessed. Next door,that Italian Restaurant, (opened by a celebrity London chef?) and that many of us attended..has not only closed (sometime back)..but the premises are now a fine flat. Around the corner..on the Dock front.. the Turkish Restaurant looked busy whilst the Indian Restaurant is closed and forlorn looking. So the Square is on the up.. whilst "south of the High Street" might be struggling. |
