It can only be measures by those registered. Many local people are registered elsewhere i.e. at their business premises which may be in another ward or borough. Possibly because the need for support is more important to that location. But is does need looking at. And the antics of Tower Hamlets and several Midlands towns and the bussing in of people who are apparently registered to vote in a certain district does need to be taken more seriously. As with students getting two votes, one where they lodge and one at the parental home. It's so vague that even the electoral commission are rather wooly on some aspects and rules seem to be interpreted differently in different districts. |
