If Ballymore are indeed saying the car park was forced upon them by the council they are talking tripe. Part of the car park is to support town centre shopping etc but most is for residents. Somebody has reported to me that spaces are on the market at £30K. I don't know if that's true but when I looked at Brentford Lock West a few years ago they were going for £15K so given the limited supply in the Ballymore development £30K is credible. I took a look inside some time ago and if I remember correctly there were loads of electric charging points. I believe the reason they are not advertising the car park is because the temporary use as a shoppers car park has yet to be formally agreed - Ballymore have not signed the Section 106 agreement which would trigger formal approval. That may not be precisely correct but I did ask planners and this is what I remember of their reply. |
