What about the thousands of buyers stuck with negative equity? In the long run prices will recover. Some have very short memories and forget how prices 'tanked' when Labour were in power in 1978 and, more recently, in 2008/2009. Negative equity only affects those trying to sell and it is an 'across the board' reduction meaning that you will possibly get less than you paid but the house that you move to will also be cheaper. |
