I voted for remain, but I believe that the referendum campaign is now over and we should all support the government in its intention to implement the result on 31st October. I understand that passions still run high on this issue, but I ask those still campaigning to remain to please consider that our best chance of leaving with an overarching agreement is by showing the EU that we will be leaving with or without such an agreement. While the EU negotiators continue to see division amongst us they are less likely to move from their position of no further negotiation. So the best way of ensuring a "no deal" exit is to continue with agitating to overturn the referendum result. |
