| My Question is who is pays for the "free" electricity? Someone has to. In the short run it is not a great burden, but sooner or later as costs rise, do you not think that the costs of electric cars should be paid by electric car users? If we only think short term, we will not have good long term solutions. It appears that in Scotland the Scottish government provides grants to the local authorities to install and pay for it, so it is not free, it is paid for out of general taxation, so poorer people who are not car users, but generally use busses etc are subsidising rich people driving £100k Teslas. |
