The French are still insisting women must show much skin when swimming: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jun/27/france-city-shuts-down-public-pools-after-two-women-wear-burkinis It is still going through the courts but it look like France might lose the ECHR case and might have to repeal their laws. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_ban_on_face_covering#ECHR_Case I am baffled and appalled that a country that has Liberté as the first word in their motto can act in this way. |
