Of course all that is right - councils don't drop litter or fly-tip - we - the great British public do and the government's beloved policy of austerity has piled on the agony with all public services pared to the bone. We should all have some pride in the place we live, not only locally but further afield too. But Hounslow Highways do seem to be lagging behind more and more where the bin emptying regime and street sweeping is concerned. Today I noticed here that the street sweeper had been and left their bags for collection - and then the recycling lorry comes along and there are bits of plastic scattered! You would think the two could be co-ordinated a bit better, sweep after collection???
