Aren't we all going somewhat OTT here ?. If we take this thread at face value, if anyone sets foot in Hounslow High Street then they're very likely to be mugged. Were that the case, it would resemble a scene out of one of the 'Death Wish' series of films. Now whilst I'm not a 'fan' of Hounslow High Street, nor is it anything like as law-less as the streets Charles Bronson was frequenting. Crime is sadly on the increase everywhere, and as I said in my earlier post to me it's not only crime, but also low level ASB. One only has to watch or read the news to know about stabbings and murders all across the capital. But let's get a sense of perspective. For every 1 person that is mugged, there's no doubt many people who aren't. Yes that 1 is too many, but sadly it's a reality and shouldn't be taken as an indicator that a place is a no-go zone. |
