| Jim As I understand it the Planning Inspector (finally) agreed with Hounslow that the days of treating the tower as a large advertising hoarding must end - ie, the appeal made by the landowners was rejected. The large advert generated a lot of rent (rumour has it that it was more than the site is worth as an actual building) so if this is no longer available the disincentive to develop has gone. There is a lot of activity on the planning portal related to the Hyundai showroom development and rumour has it that they will start in the autumn. Here's hoping. |
