| The incredibly stupid thing about this sorry tale is that there isn't one person who can't see through this daft attempt to try and repair a very damaged reputation. Using false names just adds insult to our injury, give us credit. The other thing is that the rumours about this year's Mayor have been circulating for months, it used to be decided at the AGM of the ruling group on the council. Obviously 'Nicki Drick' has known, for a while as she said. The fact this has been common currency for so long really does smack of stitch ups, how awful that our borough's leading citizen position has been brought to this. What is wrong with these people? Do they really not want to engage with us - the very people who they were so keen to represent just a couple of years ago? Why set yourselves against the wishes of the majority of your local electorate? All any of us want is a decent working relationship with our local authority to try and improve things, what we are heading towards, if we haven't already reached it, is out and out confrontation. |
